Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC Roxbury)
Roxbury, Boston

Established in 2002 The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC), the largest masjid in New England, was completed in 2007 as part of Boston’s decades-long urban renewal program. Following the Quranic concept of mizan or balance, the ISBCC was designed by renowned Saudi architect Dr. Sami Angawi to be both distinctly Islamic and unmistakably Bostonian. ISBCC stands as a testament to the unity and history of American Muslims—from African Americans to the more than 90 nationalities and ethnicities that make up the Muslim population in Boston. ISBCC honors the presence of Muslims in America since colonial times, and celebrates the alignment of Islamic values with the country’s founding principles. ISBCC offers daily religious services, as well as educational and cultural programs.
